Four in ten UK equity fund managers cautioned their relative performance would be impacted by the outcome of the Brexit negotiations, according to a survey conducted by Square Mile Investment Consulting & Research.
The survey, which received responses from 39 UK equity managers with a Square Mile fund rating, found 42% were sensitive to the outcome of Brexit negotiations. However, 27% said they would be broadly unaffected by the outcome while 32% claimed it was impossible to determine at this stage. In terms of the performance of the FTSE All-Share, 39% said a soft Brexit would help performance the most, while just 10% said a hard Brexit would be the most favourable outcome for the index.
