Kames Capital has hired Laurent Frings as lead of credit research from Aberdeen Asset Management following the departure of co-head of fixed income Stephen Snowden, high yield head David Ennett and two fund managers.
At Aberdeen Asset Management, Frings was global head of credit from 2015, responsible for developing the firm's credit research process and contributing to its EMEA credit strategy discussions. He held a similar role at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, where he spent a total of nine years from 2005. Frings started his career at Aviva Investors as a risk and performance measurement analyst before being promoted to credit analyst in 1999.
