BlueBay Asset Management has made two developed market special situations hires, appointing James Rous as an institutional portfolio manager and Giovanni Galvani as an analyst.
The hires come as the company sees "an increasing opportunity to invest in stressed and distressed credit" following the wake of the pandemic, announcing that it will launch a new special situations investment strategy "in the coming months". Both Rous and Galvani will be based in London and report to Adam Phillips, who joined BlueBay last year as head of developed markets within its global leveraged finance team.
