A new report has outlined the roadmap that private finance must follow on the transition to net zero, stating there are massive opportunities for the sector.
The report from Guernsey Finance and Baringa Partners, titled "Private finance and its role in supporting the transition to net zero", looked to the 2040s for the path that ESG investing may follow. Guernsey Finance argued that there has so far been less attention paid to the role that private finance must play in the transition to net zero. The report estimated that in the Guernsey investment sector alone, the total value of ESG funds could grow from £4.5bn at the end of 2021 to £56bn in 2040.
