Chikara Investments has launched a new emerging markets fund, managed by former Stewart Investors partner Jonathan Asante.
Asante, who began at the firm in March, will be joined in managing the fund by former Stewart team members Chris Grey, Joanna Kay, Tom Prew and Dominic St George. Chikara rebranded from Coupland Cardiff AM in August, following the retirement of founders Richard Cardiff and Angus Coupland at the end of last year. The Chikara Global Emerging Markets Opportunities fund will aim to invest in firms that have strong governance and balance sheets but are not overvalued.
