Global Equity Income

Schroders' Sonja Laud has warned investors are facing a global yield crisis, and she expects cash to flow out of government bonds and into equities in the hunt for dividends.

Mary Chris Gay, co-manager of the £52m Legg Mason US Equity fund with Bill Miller, forecasts a rally of up to 15% in US equities by the end of 2012.

The IMA has re-launched its Managed sectors with new names and definitions, apart from the Mixed Investment 0-35% Shares sector which has been delayed.

The IMA will create a Global Equity Income sector with effect from 1 January 2012 and is looking at a European Equity Income sector.
